Nova Hreod Academy student wins Sportswoman of the Year award

Nova Hreod pupil Chloe was awarded the Swindon Advertiser Young Sportswoman of the Year Award

Chloe is a County level Cross Country runner, who has represented Swindon & Wiltshire Schools for the last 3 years. She has won the Swindon Schools event every year since Year 7 and represented the Swindon Schools team in the Wiltshire Cross Country Championships earlier this month.

Chloe has been training extremely hard for long distance running (both cross country and track), and competing in many Inter girls competitions. Her recent achievements include 1st place in the Swindon Schools’ Cross Country and 7th place in the Wiltshire Schools’ Cross Country. She competed in the South West Schools’ Cross Country Championships on 7th February and has been selected to compete in the National Championships in March hosted in Birmingham.

Congratulations to Chloe on this well-deserved achievement. Everyone at Nova is very proud of her for accomplishing this excellent award and we wish her all the best for her upcoming competitions.
