Students and staff at Seahaven Academy are today celebrating their GCSE results with 47% achieving a grade 4 or above in the new English and Maths exams, including 5 students who gained a coveted grade 9, the new top grade set to challenge the most able students.
A number of students have achieved grades 8 and 9 in English and Maths in the new system alongside A and A* grades for their other exams: Keeley Maclean, Lucy Irons, Tasher Smith, Victoria Fowler and Henry Martin all excelled in a range of different subjects.
Sarah Pringle, Principal of Seahaven Academy, said:
“We are delighted with the students’ success again this year. Congratulations is due to the students and staff who have worked so hard to achieve these results and to the parents and carers who have supported them. Having been awarded a Good from Ofsted during the last academic year, these results confirm that Seahaven Academy is a school that is moving forward at pace.”
