It was a run in the park for students and staff from Sheffield Springs Academy, who took part in their first park run on Saturday (1st April).
Held at Manor Field every Saturday, the free 5k event sees those entering have their time sent to them via text or e-mail, with those Sheffield Springs students who took part receiving their own dedicated t-shirt.
Academy staff were also on hand to provide support and help co-ordinate a special 'Get Moving' flashmob, before heading back to the academy for Saturday ‘revision school,’ helping prepare the students for the summer exams.
Commented Sheffield Springs Academy’s Head of School Mark Shipman:
“Well done to all of our students who took part in their first park run last weekend. It's a great way of meeting new people and keeping fit at the same time and we're actively encouraging more of our students to get involved."
