Best ever GCSE Exam Results for Surbiton High School

This year, Surbiton High School is delighted to report the best ever set of GCSE grades with 37% of results at A*and 78% at A*- A.

The School saw an outstanding set of results across all subjects and particularly in Mathematics, Modern Languages, Art and the Sciences showing the breadth of provision at Surbiton High School and confirming that it brings out the best in everyone.

In Biology 80% of all grades are at A* - A; in Chemistry and Physics 82% of all grades were at A* - A. In French our girls achieved 87% A* - A grades and in Spanish they achieved 89% A* - A grades. Girls also have the opportunity to study Italian, Russian, Japanese and Chinese and all pupils entered for these subjects achieve A* grades.

Girls also gained top grades in Mathematics where 80% of all grades are at A* - A  and English, where 40% of grades were the new 9 - 8. In Computer Science 83.3% of all grades are A* - A with 91% of grades are at A* - A in Art.

The breadth of opportunity at Surbiton High is confirmed by not only the wonderful GCSE results, but also notable achievements this year include a plethora of sports stars – Kate, Georgina and Brielle as National Skiers; Asha as National Trampolining Champion; Maia as National Swimmer; Millie as European and World Gymnastics Champion and Kitty as National Gymnastics Champion and Harriet as National Athletics Champion. Cecilia and Tiger should also be mentioned as members of the National Youth Orchestra for Great Britain.

We are also especially delighted for triplets Max, Harriet and Phoebe who achieved 20 A*s between them. Max was a pupil at our Boys’ Prep School who went on to King’s College School, Wimbledon.
