Bournemouth Collegiate Students Celebrate A Level Success

Bournemouth Collegiate School pupils and staff are celebrating their success in today’s A-level results, marking yet another year of excellent academic and personal achievements for students at the school.

Over 75% of grades were awarded A*-C and a third were in the highest brackets of A*-A.

Particular highlights were:

  • Ivan Man who achieved an A* and 3 As and has gained a place at the University of Bath to study Chemistry;
  • Emilie Trent, the school’s Head Girl who is celebrating her 2 A* and an A and is off to Exeter University to study Business & Management;
  • Anfisa Lukashova who achieved 2 A*s and 2 As;
  • Ksenia Shinkarenko, who is off to NABA in Milan to study advertising, art & graphic design have been awarded 3 A*s and a C;
  • Zezinho U’Chong who achieved the grades needed to take up a place at The Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford;
  • Benjamin Gautier, the school’s Head Boy who has been awarded a place at The Royal College of Music in London;
  • Philippa Hodgson will be heading to the University of Reading to study Maths;
  • Danny Yoon who is taking up a place at the University of Exeter to study Mechanical Engineering.

"We want to congratulate all our students and wish them well as they take up their places at university, either here or abroad, employment, or begin their gap year. There have been some very impressive individual results. At Bournemouth Collegiate we ensure that our balanced curriculum and exceptional teaching gives every student the opportunity to grow as an individual, learn a wide variety of skills and interests and be ready to begin their adult lives fully prepared for a successful future.”
