Today, celebrations are underway at Glenmoor and Winton Academies following the awarding of students’ GCSE grades.

The Department for Education has today announced its national network of 81 new teaching school hubs (TSH), which will include several United Learning academies. These hubs will provide high-quality professional development to teachers at all stages of their careers – from initial teacher training (ITT) and early careers support to national professional qualifications (NPQ).

Academies in Bournemouth are once again shortlisted for Secondary School of the Year at the 2020 TES Schools Awards. Nomination marks the second consecutive year that the schools are in the running for the coveted prize.

Today, students at Glenmoor and Winton Academies, which were judged ‘Outstanding’ this year, are enjoying another year of GCSE success.

Students at Glenmoor and Winton Academies are today celebrating another set of record GCSE results.  88% of students at Glenmoor Academy achieved A*-C grades (4 or above) in both English and maths.  At Winton Academy, 78% of students achieved these grades.

Last week, a select group of 30 students from across United Learning’s academies arrived at the University of Birmingham for a three-day residential.
