Students at John Smeaton Academy are celebrating their A Level results today, with 64% of entries achieving A* to C grades.
Among this, there were some notable individual successes for students, including:
- Harry Tran, who achieved an A* in chemistry, an A in maths and an A in physics and is going to the University of Leeds to study Medicinal Chemistry;
- Anna Dilnot, who achieved an A* in fine art, a B in English language and a B in psychology and is taking a place at the University of Leeds to study Cultural and Media Studies;
- Saul Jones, who achieved an A* in maths, a B in further maths, a B in physics and a B in business studies and has gained a place at the University of Leeds to study Maths;
- Chelsea Minns, who achieved an A in sociology, a B in psychology and a distinction in health & social care BTEC and is going to Leeds Beckett to study Criminology and Psychology;
- Lauren Hart, who achieved an A in the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), a B in psychology, a B in PE, and a C in geography and is taking a place at York University to study Pscyhology.
