Lincoln Minster School Announces Impressive A Level Results

Students at Lincoln Minster School are enjoying A level success today after receiving their results and are now planning the next stages of their lives. Whilst many are preparing to go to University, some have opted for specialist schools and colleges and apprenticeships.

Mary Wilson will be studying chemistry at the University of York and was delighted with her A, A and B, she said: “I’m extremely pleased with my results, the school has always pushed me to give a little extra effort to achieve my best. The teachers really love the subjects they teach and that has really helped develop my interest in chemistry. After University I would like to work in the Pharmaceutical industry.”

James Marwood is going to train as a Warfare Officer in the Navy, based in Dartmouth and hopes to become a Pilot or a Mine Clearing Diver. James attained B, B and C. Lincoln Minster has been very supportive of me during the selection process for the Navy and the teachers have always been helpful in allowing everyone to achieve their potential.”

Grace Whitehead has secured a place at the Royal Agricultural College in Cirencester. She said: "I’m very happy with my results, the school has been so supportive and helped to push me to get the results I need. “This has been an excellent year group, both academically and in terms of their contribution to the co-curricular life of the school. I am proud to see so many of our students achieve so well after so much commitment, dedication and hard work for them. I am also delighted for their parents and staff who have been so supportive in helping to achieve these results. These students were impressive role models for our younger pupils and have been outstanding ambassadors for Lincoln Minster School. We will miss them and wish them deserved success in their future pathways whether that begins at university, higher level apprenticeships or straight to the world of work."

The University of Lincoln is also available at the school, providing advice and support for all students going onto University.
