Lincoln Minster School celebrate exam success

Lincoln Minster School has continued its strong academic tradition of attaining excellent grades following this year’s GCSE examination results.

This year has seen particularly pleasing accomplishments throughout the arts at Lincoln Minster School. The majority of pupils celebrating today will now progress into the School’s Sixth Form which enjoyed impressive A Level results last week.

Some notable successes included:

Finn Dillon has achieved excellent GCSE results including an A* and 2 A’s. Finn has been awarded an Art scholarship at Lincoln Minster School Sixth Form and will be studying Art, Business and Graphics. He commented: “I feel relieved! I’m excited about next year, as my results stand in me in good stead to go on to my top three choices for A level. I am particularly looking forward to my Art and Graphics classes here, as I hope to go onto a career in this industry in the future.”

Katie Care has done exceptionally well in achieving a total of 11 A* GCSE’s. Katie is thrilled with her results. She will be taking English Literature, Maths, Drama and Music with an EPQ at LMS in the Sixth Form. Naturally, Katie was thrilled with her results and said: “I am happy and relieved, but looking forward to starting my A levels in September.” Katie is currently performing in Jesus Christ Superstar at Lincoln Cathedral.

“Katie is a real all-rounder at LMS and not only has she done remarkably well in her exams, she also makes a huge contribution to the Music and Drama life of the school,” commented Mark Wallace, Headmaster.

Also achieving an impressive 11 A*’s was Ellen Knight and Robert Hodgkison achieved 6 A*’s & 4 A’s.

Two of the school’s top squash players, Ollie Blanchard and Finley O’Sullivan, are delighted with their results. Amongst their grades Ollie achieved 4 A’s and 4 B’s, while Finley achieved 1 A*, 3 A’s and 4 B’s.

Mark Wallace is delighted with the results attained by the pupils and said: “A huge congratulations to our pupils on their results. This is down to their hard work, resilience and exceptional efforts. These results are also testament to the hard work of our staff who have given additional time and support whenever it is needed. I look forward to seeing our pupils continuing to flourish in the Sixth Form at Lincoln Minster and taking advantage of the many benefits available to them.”
