Midhurst Rother College Celebrates Best Ever GCSE Results

Staff and students at Midhurst Rother College are celebrating grades that rose a massive 20% points in one year in the critical measurement of five or more A”-C grades including English and maths. Over two years, the increase has been an amazing 31%.

Today 92% of students are celebrating 5+ A*-C  with 73% including English and maths.

Dr Joe Vitagliano, Principal of Midhurst Rother College, said:

“We are absolutely delighted with these results and I congratulate every student who has achieved the grades they deserved.

“Students and staff have worked incredibly hard all year and these results, together with last week’s very strong A Level results, demonstrate the rapid progress the College is making.

“Last year’s results acted as the springboard for today’s even greater improvement. The confidence of the College and our students has risen dramatically and everyone is incredibly proud of what we are achieving together. We have fantastic staff and some wonderful students  so today we are all celebrating their success.

“I am delighted that so many students have decided to continue at the College for their Sixth Form and will benefit from the opportunities created by our brand new building which we move into next month.  This summer’s superb A Level and GCSE results mean that the new academic year can get off to a flying start.”

Andy Buck, Managing Director – Academies of United Learning, which sponsors the College added his congratulations:
“These are fantastic results which are due to the hard work of students, the excellent leadership of Joe Vitagliano and the commitment and dedication of staff across Midhurst Rother College. The improvements underway at the school are transformational and I would like to congratulate everyone there for these marvellous results which not only consolidate last year’s increase but go way beyond.”
