Sixth Formers at Bacon’s College in Rotherhithe are celebrating the culmination of all their hard work today, as students around the country receive their A Level and equivalent results.
Amongst those excited to secure places at universities of their choice were:
- Habibat, who achieved an A* and two As and will be heading to University College London to study Chemistry;
- Jody, who will be going to King’s College London to study Medicine after achieving two As and a B;
- Ella, who achieved D*D*D* and will be going to St George’s, University of London to study Paramedic Science;
- Mohammad, who achieved three As and two Bs and will be taking up a place at University College London to study Civil Engineering;
- Adebusola, who achieved two As and a B and will also be going to University College London but to study Psychology and Languages Science;
- Akif, who will be studying Mathematics with Statistics at King’s College London after achieving two As and a B;
- Kacper, who achieved two As and a B and will be studying Biomedical Sciences at the University of Southampton;
- Jeta, who will be heading to Queen Mary University of London to study Psychology with Year Abroad after achieving two As and a B.
While STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and maths) proved popular with students confirming their university choices, one student will be taking up a highly competitive apprenticeship instead. Daniel Dove has secured his offer to join Willis Tower Watson to pursue Insurance Risk and Brokering, after achieving two As, a B and a Distinction in Business.
James Wilson, Principal at Bacon’s College congratulated students, saying:
“All our Sixth Formers celebrating their results today can take pride in their achievements and move on with confidence. Achieving highly in these exams requires hard work and persistence over many years and is the sum of everything that our students have put into their studies. As they leave us, we want to congratulate them, thank them for everything they have contributed to our school community and of course wish them well in their next steps. I am sure they will go on to replicate the successes we have seen today as young adults.”
