Professional development programmes

We offer a range of professional development for staff at every stage of their career through United Learning, the Central London Teaching Schools Hub, and the Swindon & Wilshire Teaching Schools Hub.

Leadership Development Programmes

United Learning is invested in leadership development. From November to July, we deliver programmes designed by our school leaders to translate theory into effective practice. The content draws on evidence‑informed best practice and is enriched by the experience and expertise of our leaders, who demonstrate what successful implementation looks like in real school contexts.

Early Careers Framework

The Early Career Framework (ECF) is designed to help teachers succeed at the start of their careers. It became statutory from September 2021, replacing the NQT process for induction.

The ECF programme consists of face-to-face training, virtual learning groups, webinars and weekly video tutorials, and has been tailored to fit with the demands of school life by providing online learning that can be undertaken at any time, in any place.

This Department for Education-funded programme aims to help educators develop expertise against the Teacher's Standards and has strong focus on improving wellbeing and job satisfaction for those new to the profession.
