Future SENCO

United Learning's Future SENCO programme equips learners with a strong foundation in statutory SEND requirements and the leadership skills necessary to foster an inclusive, whole-school culture.

Combining leadership expertise, theory and practice, webinars are immersed in an educational context and facilitated by United Learning leaders.

Learning Objectives

  1. Demonstrate a strong foundational understanding of the statutory requirements of SEND provision.
  2. Demonstrate knowledge of the qualities of effective SEND leadership, and show commitment to developing these in their own practice.
  3. Engage other leaders in creating a whole school culture around SEND.
  4. Effectively develop and deploy Education Support Staff to meet individual needs.
  5. Build strong partnerships with families, grounded in mutual respect and shared ambition for children.
  6. Plan and implement professional development and quality assurance processes that support teaching and learning.
