Many of the Year 11s will now be preparing to return to the school’s Sixth Form, where they will be hoping to replicate today’s success in their A Level studies. They will have been inspired by this year’s Sixth Form leavers who marked their own excellent exam performances last week. As a result, many of them secured places at top universities, including one student who will be taking up a place at the University of Oxford.

Katie Boyes, Principal at Huish Episcopi Academy, said:

There have been some brilliant GCSE achievements today both for individual students and across the whole year group, following an equally successful A Level results day last week.

“I would like to congratulate these young people on their hard work and perseverance and the ways each of them has contributed to our school community alongside their academic learning. I would also like to thank our wonderful staff team for the time and support they provide our students with on a daily basis.

“It is fantastic to be heading into the new school year with another strong set of results which will provide an inspiration for all our younger year groups.”
