Catgeories : GCSE results Group news

Today, students and staff at Cambridge Academy for Science and Technology (CAST) are celebrating after the Year 11 cohort received their GCSE results.

Standout individual students gaining six or more grade 9s include:
  • Shreya, who achieved eight grade 9s;
  • Bruno, who achieved eight grade 9s;
  • Negina, who achieved eight grade 9s;
  • Winter, who achieved seven grade 9s;
  • Calum, who achieved seven grade 9s;
  • Keah, who achieved seven grade 9s.;
  • Valeriya, who achieved six grade 9s.
Calum said:
“I’m really proud of my results. Studying at CAST was the right decision for me. I’ve improved my grades across the board and made a lot of friends. CAST has helped broaden my horizons, given me new skills and encouraged me to always aim higher.”

Negina commented:
“I am very pleased with my results. The teachers at CAST have been really supportive and encouraged me to be creative and think outside of the box.”

Another student at the school, Valeriya, added:
“CAST has given me the technical skills that I need to pursue a career in STEM. I’m looking forward to next year at CAST where I’ll be studying physics, computer science, maths and further maths.”

This follows on from the success of last week’s A Level and T Level results, which saw students achieve a raft of impressive grades and secure places at some of the country’s most prestigious universities, including the University of Cambridge. Buoyed by their GCSE results, many of the school’s outgoing Year 11 students will be taking up places in the Sixth Form this September.

Commenting on students’ achievements, Danielle Pacey, Principal at CAST, said:
It is fantastic to be celebrating these excellent results with our Year 11 students today. This cohort has inspired us all with the diligence, determination and commitment they have shown to their GCSE studies and they are highly deserving of their success.
“Thank you to staff and parents across our school community for all that they have done to support and guide students and help them to achieve their very best. We look forward to welcoming many of our Year 11 students back to school in September where they’ll be taking up their A Levels and T Levels in our thriving Sixth Form.”
