This year, the percentage of pupils who achieved a Grade 4 or above in both English and Maths or above in both, increased to 62.2% with many pupils performing above their expected grades.
With their GCSEs secured, many pupils are preparing to return to the school's thriving Sixth Form, which celebrated its Year 13 pupils' A Level and BTEC results last week. Those completing their Sixth Form studies are now taking up a range of excellent further and higher educational options ranging from technical and vocational pathways to top academic institutions, such as Durham University and Harper and Keele Veterinary School.

Adam said:
“I am very happy with my results, in particular my Maths, Physics and Biology grades. I am staying on at Central for A levels and I intend to study Maths, Biology and Physics. My ultimate plan is to go to university with the intention of studying Medicine.”
Courtney said:
"It's a huge surprise for me to get a 9 English Literature and Physics. I'm delighted and very happy. To future Year 11s I'd say: push yourself to the hardest!"
Ava said:
"I'm very happy and looking forward to coming back to Central Academy 6th form. I'm now deciding whether to go on to study Pharmacy or Occupational Therapy at University"
