Commenting on her success, Iman, who is heading to Xaverian College to study biology, chemistry and maths at A Level, said:

“I really will miss all my teachers at Manchester Academy, especially Mr Velasco and Mr Nizeyimana, who have given me fantastic support throughout my time here!”

Peter, who is off to Loreto College to study physics, maths and economics at A Level, added,

"Our teachers at Manchester Academy gave us excellent support with revision booster sessions which really helped us achieve great results."

James Eldon, Principal of Manchester Academy, said:

"We are all incredibly proud of these strong GCSE results. Despite the challenges of COVID, our class of 2023 have made Manchester magic. 30% of the year group joined us after Year 7, 16% joined the academy after Year 10 and many students learnt English during their school career with us. Yet the unity and hard work of the students has paid off.

“These results end a very successful academic year which began with a strong Ofsted report and demonstrate the trajectory our school is on. We are so excited to see what our 'red tie' group will achieve at College and beyond.”
