Precious added:
“I’m really glad that my results turned out so well. I got so much support from Avonbourne.”

Today’s GCSE success follows last week’s A Level results, which saw students secure places at their universities of choice to study a range of courses, from Ancient History to Mechanical Engineering.
With these strong grades under their belts, many of the school’s students are now looking forward to joining the academy’s Sixth Form to commence their A Level courses in September.

Commenting on students’ achievements, Michelle Dyer, Principal at Avonbourne Boys’ and Girls’ Academies, said:
I would like to congratulate all our students celebrating some impressive results today. I very much hope that they feel proud of their achievements, having shown consistent hard work and dedication over the course of their studies. Throughout, they have been supported by our fantastic staff and I am grateful to them for all they do for our students.
“We wish our Year 11s all the very best as they take their next steps and look forward to many of them continuing their studies with us at our Sixth Form.”
