Yorkshire Cricket Board’s (YCB) Johnny Younis had the pupils bowled over when he paid a visit to High Hazels Academy on Wednesday (6th February.)

An England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) coach and YCB Community Cricket Officer, Johnny has been coaching in schools for the last 12 years and makes an annual visit to High Hazels.

During his latest visit, Johnny took part in a series of workshops with Years 2 and 3, forming part of the ECB’s ‘All Stars Cricket project - an entry level participation programme, aimed at providing children aged five to eight with a great first experience in cricket.

Commenting on the visit, High Hazels Headteacher Mrs Asma Maqsood-Shah said:

“As a school committed to providing an education with character, we regularly seek to provide our pupils with new experiences and opportunities and Johnny’s visit is a perfect example of that, helping to enthuse and inspire them.”
