Today, Sheffield Springs Academy is celebrating after Year 11 students saw their hard work rewarded with their GCSE qualifications.
Standout individual successes at the school include:
- Lacey-May Douglas, who achieved six grade 9s in English Language, biology, chemistry, physics, geography, and French, two grade 8s in English Literature and maths and a Distinction* in Health and Social Care;
- Horthugues Mbuyi, who achieved five grade 9s in biology, chemistry, physics, English Literature, and French and three grade 8s in English Language, maths, and geography;
- Lewis Ray, who achieved three grade 8s in English Language, history and physics and four grade 7s in English Literature, maths, biology, and chemistry. Lewis also achieved top grades in his vocational qualifications.
Speaking of her achievement, Lacey-May Douglas said:
“I’m so pleased with my results and I’m very excited to start my A Levels next month!”
Lewis Ray added:
“I really believe that hard work makes good results. I think this is evident in my grades. I tried really hard and I am proud of what I have achieved.”
Claire Cartledge, Interim Principal at Sheffield Springs Academy, said:
“Well done to all our Year 11s for the GCSE results they received today. It is fantastic to see students achieving the grades they worked hard for and which will enable them to take their next steps into Sixth Form or College.
