Stream of Grade 9s for GCSE Students at Cambridge Academy for Science and Technology

Students and staff at Cambridge Academy for Science and Technology (CAST) are celebrating today after GCSEs were awarded across the country.

Thanks to their hard work over the course of their GCSE studies, the STEM-specialist school has seen students receive a raft of excellent grades, with one student achieving a highly impressive eleven grade 9s.

With their GCSE results under their belts, many students are now looking forward to continuing their studies at the school’s successful Sixth Form in September.
Among those students celebrating are:
  • Laura, who achieved nine grade 9s;
  • Isabel, who achieved eight grade 9s and one grade 8;
  • Eva, who achieved seven grade 9s;
  • Isaiah, who achieved seven grade 9s and two grade 8s;
  • Ethan, who achieved seven grade 9s;
  • Ben, who achieved six grade 9s and three grade 8s.
Ethan said:
“I am really pleased with my results. The facilities and support from staff at CAST are all exceptional.”

Isaiah said:
“I am delighted with my results. I really enjoyed my time at CAST, being around like-minded students and being really well supported in my studies. It was very enjoyable!”

Eva said:
“I am happy with my results. CAST is a great place to learn, which nurtures curiosity and academic excellence.”

These results follow last week’s A Level success which saw students take up places at a range of top universities, including the University of Cambridge and King’s College London.

Danielle Pacey, Principal of CAST, said of the day:

“I would like to congratulate all students at CAST receiving their GCSE results today. They have worked incredibly hard in the lead up to their exams and should be proud of their determination and ambition to succeed.

“As a STEM specialist school, we are particularly thrilled to see such outstanding performance in STEM subjects, which reflects both the talent and hard work of our students and staff. These results build on the fantastic success of last week’s A Level and T Level outcomes, where many students secured places at their first-choice universities, including the University of Cambridge and other prestigious Russell Group institutions. This is a proud moment for our entire school community.

“As our Year 11 students prepare to take their next steps – with many of them continuing their studies with us at our Sixth Form – I would like to wish them the best of luck for the exciting futures that lie ahead for each of them, whatever path they choose to take.”
