Sixth Formers at Central Academy are celebrating today after receiving their A Level or equivalent results, which have enabled them to secure places at their first-choice universities.
Over the past two years, students at the school have continued to show excellent commitment to their A Level and BTEC studies. Thanks to their hard work and determination, the Year 13 students will now be going on to study a wide variety of high-quality courses at university – from Law to Mechanical Engineering – take up top-quality apprenticeships or enter the world of work.
Among those Sixth Formers celebrating today are:
- Alex Tryka, who achieved two As in Maths and Physics and a Distinction* in ICT, and will be attending the University of Bath to study Mechanical Engineering.
- Sophie Rigg, who achieved three Bs in Art, Graphics and Media, and will be attending Bournemouth University to study Arts.
- Louis Matthews, who achieved a Distinction* in ICT, a B in History and a C in Biology, and will be attending the University of Chester to study History.
- Ella Kershaw, who achieved two Bs in History and Graphics and a C in Biology, and will be attending the University of Cumbria to study Biomedical Science.
- Wiktoria Maslak, who achieved a Distinction* in ICT, a Distinction in Media and a C in English Language.
- Lukasz Bazydlo, who achieved a Distinction* in ICT and a Distinction in Media, and will be taking up an IT/Engineering apprenticeship.
Commenting on his achievement, Alex said:
“I am really pleased with my results and can’t wait for my next steps. I would also like to say well done to all my friends who have received results today.”
Speaking of her success, Ella said:
“I am very pleased with what I have achieved and really excited to start university in September.”
Lukasz added:
“I’m really looking froward to starting my next chapter in my IT/Engineering apprenticeship.”
