As the Department for Education publishes its provisional outcomes for this summer’s GCSE results, Coleridge Community College is celebrating being the fourth most improved state school in the country for Attainment 8 in comparison to last year.

Attainment 8 is a measure which assesses the average achievement of students in eight GCSE-level qualifications. Impressively, the school has seen a 9.2 increase in its Attainment 8 score from last year. The rankings also place the school as having the second most improved maths results nationally and the sixth most improved results nationally for students who achieved a grade 5 or above in both English and maths, placing them in the top 10% of state schools in the country for the latter.

These strong results reflect the significant improvements underway at Coleridge Community College and how the school is delivering fantastic outcomes for all students, regardless of their background or starting point.
