Students and staff at Midhurst Rother College (MRC) are celebrating again today after the school’s Year 11 cohort achieved a particularly impressive set of GCSE results.

Standout performers at the College include:

Speaking of her success, Lily said:

Furse added:

“I’m really chuffed with my results and looking forward to starting my new courses.”

Today’s results follow last week’s equally impressive A Level results when 39% of entries at the school achieved A*-A grades and 63% of entries achieved A*-C grades. One student, Matthew Grzywacz, achieved an exceptional four A*s and will be attending the University of Warwick to study Mathematics.

Many members of the school’s teaching, pastoral and support staff attended MCR today to celebrate with the students and their families.

Fiona Lunskey, Assistant Principal for Raising Standards, Year 11 at Midhurst Rother College said:

“Many congratulations to our GCSE students on this fantastic set of results. Each and every student put an incredible level of effort into their studies in order to achieve these grades and are highly deserving of their success. It is particularly pleasing that so many of our Year 11 students will now be going on to take up places in our Sixth Form in September, where they will undoubtedly continue to make excellent progress.”

Stuart Edwards, Principal at Midhurst Rother College, said:

I am proud to be Principal at MRC every day but especially today. Success is always a team effort, and we are so happy to see the students’ happiness as they opened their grades this morning. They have all shown such determination to secure these results and should be delighted with what they have achieved.

“Today’s results follow on from the excellent A Level grades achieved by our Year 13 students last week which saw many of our students confirm their places at top Russell Group universities. With the majority of our Year 11s now set to join our Sixth Form, I am sure they will follow in the very successful footsteps of their peers.”
