Students at Parkside Community College achieve top GCSE grades

One Year 11 student, Agnes Richards, achieves an exceptional 10 grade 9s.

Parkside Community College in Cambridge is celebrating today after students received a raft of top grades at GCSE.

Standout individual successes at the school include:

  • Agnes Richards, who achieved 10 grade 9s;
  • James Strong, who achieved 9 grade 9s;
  • Anjali Sivasundaram, who achieved 9 grade 9s;
  • Elliot Scott, who achieved 8 grade 9s and an A in Free Standing Maths Qualification. Elliot will be going on to study at Parkside Sixth Form;
  • Arnav, who achieved 8 grade 9s and an A in Free Standing Maths Qualification.

Speaking of his success, James said:

“I am very pleased with my results and fell like all my hard work has paid off.”

Arnav added:

“I am absolutely thrilled and elated with my results today!”

These Year 11s will now be going on to take up their places at Sixth Form, including at Parkside Sixth.  Earlier this summer, Parkside Sixth Formers celebrated their International Baccalaureate (IB) results, with students securing places at some of the country’s top universities, including the University of Oxford.

These outstanding results are evidence of the sheer resilience and determination of this cohort despite the many challenges they faced throughout the pandemic. I would personally like to congratulate them on all their achievements and have no doubt they will go on to do great things.

“I would also like to thank all parents and carers for their unwavering support, as well as staff across the school who work tirelessly to ensure our students have the greatest chance of success.”
