Students at The Cornerstone Academy in Poole are celebrating after receiving their GCSE results today and reflecting positively on their time at the school.
Amongst those celebrating some strong individual performances were:
- Emanuel Rroshi, who achieved one grade 9, five grade 8s, three grade 7s and one grade 6;
- Teegan W, who achieved one grade 9, three grade 8s, three grade 7s and one grade 6;
- Ben Hayes, who achieved one grade 9, one grade 8, one Distinction and six grade 7s;
- Ethan Rogers, who achieved five grade 8s, two grade 7s and two grade 6s.
Speaking about his achievements, Ethan said:
“I'm going off to do a programming course at Bournemouth & Poole College. This school has been an amazing school, and I love all the staff here. My time here has been absolutely amazing.”
Year 11 Ben added:
“I'd like to thank Miss Pitman and Mr Politis. I'm very happy with what I got. I'm going on to do French, Philosophy and Sport and Exercise Science.”
Emanuel was also pleased and wanted to thank staff, saying:
“I'm really happy with my results. I wanted to thank all my teachers – shout out to Mr Politis specifically, coolest History teacher ever! I'm going to Poole Grammar School next, to do Economics, Maths and History.”
Reflecting on the day, Chris Phillips, Principal at The Cornerstone Academy, said:
“Congratulations to all our students celebrating their results today. With their GCSE grades secured, students can look forward to exciting futures as they embark on their next steps, whether that be further study or training placements. I wish all students the very best and would like to thank them for everything they have contributed to our school community.”
