“I am absolutely pleased and happy with my results. This is all because of my hard work and dedication and my family. And of course, the support of my amazing teachers, who always made time for me. Thank you so much for everything.”

Adam added:

“I would just like to give the biggest thank you to all the teachers who have supported me along the way. It has been a journey and one that I shall cherish forever.”

Kerrisha said:

“I genuinely feel so much relief. I have so much gratitude towards my teachers at Walthamstow Academy, who provided me with quality teaching and resources. But more than anything, I’m proud that I kept trying my hardest with my revision. I’m proud of my results and I will undoubtedly look back on my time at Walthamstow Academy fondly.”

Students in the Sixth Form also celebrated their A Level results last week, with half of those students who wanted to attend university earning places at top Russell Group institutions, including the University of Oxford.

Emma Skae, Principal of Walthamstow Academy, said:

“Very well done to our Year 11s collecting their GCSE results today. This is always a big day for our young people and one that they have worked towards for several years, and so it is fantastic to see students happy with their results and proud of what they have achieved. Thank you to staff across our school for their enduring support of our young people and for making sure that, whatever our students’ individual goals are, they have the knowledge, skills and tools they need to reach them.

“I am very much looking forward to the start of the new academic year where we will be welcoming many of our outgoing Year 11 students, alongside students from other local schools, into our Sixth Form to continue their studies.”
