Pupils celebrating today include:

• Erik who achieved ten Grade 9s;
• Farhan who achieved seven Grade 9s, two Grade 8s and one Grade 7;
• Zahra who achieved seven Grade 9s, two Grade 8s and one grade 7;
• Habiba who achieved six Grade 9s, one Grade 8 and one Grade 7.

Many pupils collecting their results today are now preparing to join the academy's Sixth Form which celebrated excellent A Level results last week. Over a third of all A Level entries achieved A* to A grades which means that students can take up places at some of the country’s leading universities.

Congratulating pupils, Peter Jones, Principal at Paddington Academy, said:

“Yet again our students have achieved a very strong set of results, and I am immensely proud of them all.  As well as achieving highly in the core subjects, we have seen impressive results in a number of subjects reflecting the quality of teaching and learning right across the curriculum.

“With their GCSE results secured, it has been a pleasure to see students enrolling in our Sixth Form today.  Our Year 13 students achieved excellent results last week and I have confidence that our newest Sixth Formers will follow in their footsteps and reach even greater heights.
