Another excellent showing for Holland Park School Sixth Form

Six students gain Oxford offers among raft of Russell Group successes.

Over half of all entries (56%) at the School achieve top A* or A grades

Students and staff at Holland Park School are celebrating another year of excellent A Level results, which have seen many Sixth Formers secure places at the UK’s best universities. Overall, over half (56%) of the School’s A Level entries were awarded the top A* or A grades.

Among those celebrating were nine students who achieved straight A*s, including three who will be taking up places at the University of Oxford. Pavel Shaulko will be taking up a place at St John's College to read Spanish and Arabic, Rose Bourdier has secured a place at Wadham College to read French and Italian and Maya Greenslade will be reading Classics at Exeter College.

Other Oxford successes included Melissa Chetata-Brooks, who has secured a place at Exeter College to read French and Spanish, Rose Mohammadzadeh who will read English at St Catherine's College and Fariz Khan who will read Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) at Queen's College.

The Sixth Form also saw a number of highly competitive offers from Imperial College London this year. This includes for Rasa Bakhtiar and Ahmed Nouri, who both achieved straight A*s, as well as Muhammad Ahmadli, Faris Kebire, Mischa Ischenko and Jamie Keat.

Across the rest of the Year 13 group, there were a variety of other top Russell Group success stories – ranging from London institutions such as King’s College London, University College London and Queen Mary University of London, to the Universities of St Andrews and Bath. Some students will be heading further afield, including Alexandre Pautet who will be taking up a place at Bocconi University in Milan.

Congratulating students on their results, Dame Sally Coates, Executive Principal at Holland Park School and Director of Secondary Academies at United Learning, said:

“All the students celebrating today can be immensely proud of their achievements, which are testament to their hard work and focus over many years of secondary education.

“Across this year’s graduating cohort, it is particularly gratifying to see such a broad range of high-quality destinations, spanning many of the UK’s best universities and beyond. From modern languages and the humanities to medicine, today’s outcomes demonstrate the rich variety of interests and talents among the Holland Park School community.

“I would like to congratulate the students, and the dedicated team of staff at the School, for the results they are all rightly celebrating today.”
