Commenting on students’ achievements, Richard McGuire, Principal at Morton Academy, said:
It is excellent to see so many of our students celebrating their GCSE results today and feeling rightly proud of what they have achieved. Having joined Year 7 when the pandemic first struck, this cohort did exceptionally well to remain focused on their studies and persevere through any obstacles. They have been rewarded with some excellent grades today.
“Thank you to staff across the school for their hard work and the commitment they show to each and every one of our students. I know we all wish our Year 11s the very best of luck with their next steps.”
