Over half (53%) of A Level entries were graded A*-B with 30% of entries securing the highest grades of A*-A – a significant improvement from last year’s results. There was likewise a 100% pass rate across all courses.
Some of the school’s top performers, who have earned places at top Russell Group institutions, are:
- Maja, who was awarded three As in Chemistry, Physics and Maths, and is going to the University of Manchester to study Civil and Structural Engineering;
- Matthew, who was awarded three As in Computer Science, English Literature and History, and is going to King’s College London to study History;
- Benjamin, who was awarded two As in Biology and Chemistry and a B in French, and is going to the University of Nottingham to study Veterinary Medicine and Surgery;
- Nadim, who was awarded two As in Computer Science and History and a B in Maths, and is going to the University of Nottingham to study Law.
Speaking of her achievement, Maja said:
“It's been a very overwhelming morning! I'm really happy with my grades, and I can't wait to start my degree at the University of Manchester.”
Matthew added:
“It all feels pretty surreal right now, I don't think it has properly sunk in that I got the grades I needed for King’s College. I am feeling really pleased with myself right now. It's been a great morning.”
Gopal Baria, Interim Principal at Montsaye Academy, said:
“I am incredibly proud of the achievements of our Year 13 students. These results reflect not only their academic success but also the determination, resilience and character they have demonstrated throughout their time with us.
“As a school, we have been on a significant journey of improvement over recent years, and we hope these excellent results signal the positive impact of the changes we have made and the direction in which the academy is moving. The significant rise in outcomes is testament to the hard work of our students, the dedication of our staff and the support of our families.
“We congratulate every student on their success and wish them every happiness as they take their next steps into higher education, employment and training.”
