Among the school’s top performers who have seen their hard work and determination rewarded today are:

• Aimee who achieved eleven grade 9s;
• Ayan who achieved ten grade 9s;
• Eluka who achieved ten grade 9s and one grade 8;
• Anna, who achieved nine grade 9s and one grade 8;
• Sam, who achieved seven grade 9s, two grade 8s and one grade 7;
• Matteo, who achieved five grade 9s, four grade 8s and one grade 7.

Another impressive performance came from Year 11 student Valentyne, who joined the school in Year 8 from Ukraine. Despite speaking very little English when he arrived in the UK, Valentyne’s resilience and tireless efforts have been recognised today with eight GCSEs under his belt all grade 5 or higher, including one grade 8.

Speaking of his success, Eluka said:

“I’m just so happy. I was predicted 7s and 8s but was able to achieve 9s. I am in complete shock. My time at Coleridge has been amazing. The support and encouragement from my teachers has been fantastic, and I have them to thank for these results.”

Ayan added:

“I am really proud of my results and really happy with what I have got. I am hoping to study sciences in Sixth Form. I am really grateful to everyone at Coleridge for their support through the exam season.”

Matt Oughton, Principal at Coleridge Community College, said:

"These excellent results are testament to the hard work and determination of our students, supported every step of the way by our dedicated staff and families. We are very pleased that several of this year's headline measures show an improvement on last year’s results and we are immensely proud of everything our students have achieved. We wish them every success as they take their next steps into Sixth Form, college, apprenticeships and what will undoubtedly be very bright future careers."
