Top Grades for Students at Cambridge Academy for Science and Technology

Students and staff at Cambridge Academy for Science and Technology (CAST) are celebrating today after A Levels and T Levels were awarded across the country.

Thanks to a strong set of results, students are now looking forward to continuing their studies at a range of top universities.

As a STEM specialist sixth form, students have progressed onto a variety of related courses ranging from Architectural Engineering and Mathematics with Statistics to Environmental Science and Zoology.

Among those students celebrating today are:
  • Michael Marsh, who achieved two A*s and three As, and will be heading to Eindhoven University of Technology to read Applied Physics;
  • Jonas Meckauskas, who achieved two A*s, an A and a B, and will be heading to King's College London to read Medicine;
  • Sarah Krueger, who achieved an A*, three As and a B, will be heading to the University of Manchester to read Neuroscience;
  • Marta Burnside, who achieved four As and will be pursuing her university studies to follow her career plans to be a vet. While at CAST, Marta won a prestigious United Learning ‘Best in Everyone Award’ for her outstanding work in A Level Biology and had success in the Biology Olympiad where she reached the final selection phase;
  • Ivan Rodriguez-Perez, who achieved three As, and will be heading to the University of Manchester to read Biochemistry.

“CAST has supported me over the last 4 years. The teaching and support I have received has been excellent and the reason I received the grades I did today.”
Alongside A Level successes, there were further fantastic results for students pursuing technical courses. They include Hannah Asplen, who achieved Distinction in her Laboratory Science T Level. Following an outstanding work placement with the Sainsbury Laboratory Cambridge University, Hannah is planning to continue her career working in this field after graduation from CAST.

Danielle Pacey, Principal of CAST, said of the day:

“We are so pleased with the achievements of our students this year. Their hard work and dedication have truly paid off, with strong results across both A Levels and T Levels. It’s particularly rewarding to see that the vast majority of our students have secured places at their first-choice universities, pursuing exciting futures in science, technology and beyond. These results are a testament to their resilience and the unwavering support of our staff and wider CAST community. We couldn’t be prouder.”
