Our trustees support the running of our linked charities – United Learning Trust, United Church Schools Trust and United Church Schools Foundation. Combining a wealth of experience from a range of sectors, they ensure that we are compliant, accountable and responsible, acting in the best interests of our pupils.
Our executive team are experienced leaders with a passion for their specialist area within the education sector. They come from a variety of different backgrounds, but share the same vision: to bring out the best in every staff member and student in United Learning.
Our experienced school improvement team provides educational support for our schools. Our aim is to bring out ‘the best in everyone’, and this approach has proven successful: 76% of our schools have a ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating, compared with 22% at their previous inspection. But we don't stop there – we are committed to developing every child in our schools, closing the gap for disadvantaged pupils and providing a well-rounded education with character.
Our Regional Directors have a wealth of in-depth experience leading improvement across our schools, working closely with headteachers to support each school on its journey of continuous improvement. Regional Directors ensure that all schools benefit from collaboration, particularly through local clustering.
Our advisors are subject specialists who work directly with Heads of Departments in our schools. They are ultimately responsible for improving outcomes in their subject by ensuring that pupils follow a challenging and enjoyable curriculum throughout their time in our schools. They are passionate advocates for their subject and know first-hand the importance of responsive teaching and learning and precise assessment, underpinned by deep subject knowledge.
