Students and staff at Northampton Academy are celebrating their A Level success today with three of its students achieving 3 A*s in their results - a first for the Academy - and many others going on to their first choice of universities.
High achievers included:
- Grace Ojo who was awarded A*s in Maths, Further Maths and Chemistry and an A in Physics. She has accepted a place at Magdalene College, University of Cambridge to read Chemical Engineering;
- Ayotunde Adeeyo, the Academy’s Head Boy, who received A*s in Maths, Further Maths and Physics and an A in Chemistry. He is going to study Physics at University College, London;
- Petra Palminha who was awarded A*s in English, Spanish and Portuguese and a B in Psychology. She will go to the University of Nottingham to read Spanish and International Media Communication;
- Georgia Sheppard who achieved an A* in Biology and A’s in Maths and Chemistry. She will study Pharmacy at the University of Nottingham.

“It is particularly pleasing to see both boys and girls perform strongly in maths and the sciences and being accepted on some of the toughest degree courses. It is testament to their hard work and to the support and encouragement of their parents and our staff that they achieved these results”.
