June's inspection was the school’s first since it joined United Learning in 2023 and its first under Ofsted's new inspection framework. Inspectors judged that the school met the 'strong standard' in three of the seven criteria measured – inclusion, leadership and governance, and personal development and wellbeing – whilst achieving the 'expected standard' in the remaining four criteria.

In their report, the inspectors praised the school’s "very positive and upward path of continual improvement" and cited the leadership’s "deep knowledge of high-quality primary education" as a key reason for why the school is "developing at pace". The report also highlighted that the "well thought-out" curriculum has combined with strong teaching for "steadily and markedly improving" academic results.

Inspectors noted that the pupils themselves think that the "quality of teaching is a fundamental strength of the school" and that Brentall’s emphasis on inclusivity has meant children "including those who face challenges in their lives, feel safe and feel that they belong."

Inspectors were likewise impressed with the school's emphasis on character education, and the range of opportunities, from trips and residentials around the country, to ambassador and school councillor roles, that pupils engage in. Ultimately, the inspectors judged that the school enables all pupils to "become caring, responsible, active citizens who are well prepared for their lives in modern Britain."

The school looks forward to welcoming prospective pupils and families to its Open Day on the 30th September where visitors will be able to see firsthand the school’s fantastic teaching and learning environment.
