From rock to jazz, dance to drama, Accrington Academy’s students shone for their latest performing arts spectacular.
Called ‘Shine,’ the event, which took place on Tuesday (10th July), provided a showcase for the school’s music, drama, dance and art departments.
‘Shine’ featured individual and group performances across all year groups, including Vocal Adrenaline, School of Rock, the Ukulele Club, school jazz band, Year 9 & 10 dance group, the Dance Company and Year 12 dancers group, with primary pupils from the Mount Pleasant Orchestra also making an appearance.
Commented Accrington Academy’s Head of School, Nicola Palmer:
"Shine was the ideal opportunity for our students to showcase their talents across the performing arts, helping demonstrate our commitment to not just academic excellence, but also to providing an education with character. A huge ‘thank you’ and ‘well done to all involved."
