Sixth Form students at North Oxfordshire Academy are celebrating today, following the release of their A level results.
98% of students achieved an A*-E grade at A level and across the academy there were a number of particularly impressive performances from students, who are now going on to study at top Russell Group universities.
Top performers include:
- Ellie Beecroft, who achieved ABB in maths, biology and geography and will be going to Loughborough University to read Mathematics;
- Alisha Blackwell who achieved ABB in English Lang, English Lit and History and will be going to the University of Warwick to read English;
- Tiggy Ansell, who achieved A*A D in geography, biology and ICT and will be going to Durham University to read Geography.
Sara Billins, Principal of North Oxfordshire Academy, congratulated the students on their success saying:
“I am very pleased for all our students celebrating today – these results are testament to their hard work and commitment over the past two years. What is particularly gratifying is that, once again, so many students have achieved places at their first choice universities, with a number securing high-quality apprenticeships and training offers.
“I wish each and every one of our students success as they take their next steps into higher education and the world of work. Likewise, I would like to thank our staff, who have worked tirelessly to ensure that every student has the challenge, support and encouragement they need to achieve their very best.”
