Newstead Wood School Celebrates 'Outstanding' Ofsted Rating in all Categories

The full, two-day inspection was conducted at the beginning of February under Ofsted’s new, stricter framework which will ensure that only the very best schools in the country receive the highest grades. Schools are now only allowed to be judged ‘Outstanding’ in any category when they perform exceptionally across the school in this area.

Jo began her visit with a special learning walk around the College, led by two Year 10 students. The students proudly showed Jo the lessons taking place across the College, including Year 11 science, where students were hard at work preparing for next week’s mock exams, Year 10 English and Key Stage 3 maths, history and design and technology.

Group Announces Spectacular Shortlist for International Art Competition

The ten shortlisted pieces, created by young artists from across the Group’s secondary academies and independent schools, showcase a broad range of talent of imagination. These students will now go head-to-head to reach the final four and see their work displayed at Tokyo’s celebrated International High School Arts Festival. The winner will receive an all-expenses paid trip to Japan to see their piece exhibited in person.
