After an extensive national recruitment exercise, United Learning and the Local Governing Body of Carter Community School have appointed Miss Sam Davidson as its Principal.
Miss Davidson has been Acting Principal of Carter Community School since September 2014. Previously she had been Vice Principal since 2010.
Miss Davidson has worked in schools across the south of England and has held a number of leadership positions. She has been responsible for both raising academic standards and for improving pastoral systems with a particular focus on safeguarding, inclusion, behaviour and attendance.
Announcing the appointment, Jon Coles, Chief Executive of United Learning, said:
“We are delighted to have appointed Sam Davidson as Principal of Carter Community School. With 20 years’ experience in education, she is very well placed to lead Carter Community School on the next stage of its journey. She is very well known to students, staff and parents and I am sure her appointment will be welcomed across the school community.”
