Students and staff at Sheffield Park Academy are celebrating after receiving the academy’s best ever GCSE results. 61% of students achieved five or more A* to C grades including English and maths – up from 50% last year and 36% in 2011.
In total, 98% of students achieved five or more GCSEs at grades A* to C – up from 91% last year.
Craig Dillon, Head Teacher of Sheffield Park Academy, said:
“We are very pleased with these results which not only consolidate the significant improvement we made last year but also build on it. They show that we maintain the high standards we set for ourselves and are a credit to the students and staff who have worked so incredibly hard throughout the year. I look forward to welcoming our students into our growing and flourishing Sixth Form.
“As the “Good” judgement we received from Ofsted in June and last week’s A Level results show, Sheffield Park Academy is going from strength to strength and has a bright future ahead. These results will spur us on to continue to work hard and drive the academy forward.”
Last week, the academy achieved its best ever A Level results with 60% of A Level and equivalent entries achieving A*s and an impressive 87% achieving either A* or A.
