Lincoln Minster School continues to go from strength to strength across all areas of school life.
This has been demonstrated by the news today that 62% of their A-level pupils achieved A*-B grades in their recent exams. This is a further improvement on last year's strong results. 85% of the year group have attained their first choice destination and will go on to study a variety of courses at some of the UK's finest universities.
Amelia is going to Loughborough University to study an Art foundation year. After getting her results, she said:
“I want to start my own business one day, painting and selling my own art. I like doing commissions and would love to get involved in textiles and printing on to fabrics, such as curtains.”
Stevenson, who is going on to study Drama at the University of Leeds, is delighted with his results, saying:
“I am so relieved and thrilled! I am just so happy that I have done well!”
Headmaster, Mark Wallace, commented:
“We are extremely proud of the results achieved by all our pupils this year which are testament to their commitment and dedication to their studies. I am thrilled to see their hard work has been rewarded and would like to thank them all for their outstanding contribution to Lincoln Minster School, both inside and outside the classroom.
“This year group have been wonderful to work with and have been excellent ambassadors for the school. We wish them every success for the future as they go onto university, higher level apprenticeships or school leaver programmes. I would also like to thank our pupils' parents and the school's staff for their support in achieving these results.”
