Roles

Teaching roles

‘We want our students to enjoy their lessons and to develop a lifelong love of learning.’

Our teachers inspire our young people, making learning interesting and exciting. Opportunities are created for students to develop independent learning skills and you will encourage them to pursue areas of interest that go beyond the taught curriculum. We want students to learn in a stimulating environment and achieve a broad range of excellent qualifications that will enable them to make a success of their lives. Above all we want our students to enjoy their lessons and to develop a lifelong love of learning.

'Learning and development is an integral part of United Learning life.'

As a teacher within the Group, you will benefit from a highly stimulating work environment, excellent CPD, and a broad range of opportunities for career progression and development.

One of the biggest assets of being a teacher at United Learning is the opportunity to draw upon the expertise and excellence in our schools. We encourage staff to share extensively and learn from each other. For this reason, we have a growing number of practice and subject networks across the Group. We also encourage mentoring and work shadowing programmes across schools, so that individuals are able to stretch themselves which feeling supported in their journey.

As a teacher within the Group you will benefit from a highly competitive remuneration package, a highly stimulating work environment and a broad range of opportunities for career progression in a national organisation.

Do you identify with our ethos? Then join us and help bring out ‘the best in everyone.’

Support roles

Across the Group we fully recognise that our support staff have a key role: to ensure we achieve our mission to bring out ‘the best in everyone’.

As such, we place an equal emphasis on recruiting and developing outstanding support staff as we do with classroom practitioners and educational leaders.

Our school support staff contribute invaluably to teaching and learning, by setting the positive climate for our schools. Without our respected team of business managers, pastoral managers, attendance officers, teaching assistants, human resources and other school support staff, our schools would simply not function.

We also have central office roles in Human Resources, Technology, Educational Projects, Finance, Administration and many other disciplines.

As a United Learning employee you will receive Group wide career opportunities, first-class development and a dynamic working environment. We also provide a highly competitive remuneration package and tangible opportunities for progression.

In addition, you’ll have a central role in helping to achieve our mission to bring out ‘the best in everyone’ – students, staff, parents and the wider community.
