Sixth Formers at Sedgehill Academy in Lewisham have been celebrating their achievements and reflecting on all their hard work, as students receive their A Level and equivalent results around the country.
This year, amidst a range of students taking up places at university, there were several talented students gaining the grades they needed to pursue their creative ambitions. This includes:
- Huyen, who achieved an A* in Art, an A in Biology and Distinction* in Creative Digital Media and will now be heading to the Big Creative Academy for an Art Foundation course;
- Olena, who achieved an A in Art, a triple Distinction in Photography and a Merit in Engineering and will be taking up a place at Middlesex University to study 3D for Games and Film;
- Lili, who achieved a triple Distinction* in Photography, a Distinction in Creative Digital Media and a C in Art.
Olena said:
"Thank you so much to everyone at Sedgehill who helped me achieve my dreams.”
Huyen added:
“I'm so happy with my results and would like to thank everyone at Sedgehill for their input over the last seven years.”
Clare Cassidy, Principal at Sedgehill Academy, said of students’ achievements:
“Our aim is to give all our students the education, advice and support they need to thrive and develop as young people and make the right choices for them as they take their next steps. It is fantastic to see the breadth of talents and interests we have in this group of Year 13s, whether that is those who are pursuing highly creative studies or those who choose more traditional professions. We are very pleased for all of the students celebrating their achievements today and wish them well as they move on with confidence.”
