Best ever GCSE results for Nova Hreod Academy

Students and staff at Nova Hreod Academy are celebrating after achieving the academy’s best ever GCSE results. 72% of students achieved at least a 4 in both English and maths. Overall, 71% of students achieved five good GCSEs including English and maths – up from 66% last year.

Alongside this, there were some impressive student success stories, including:

  • Louise Aust who achieved four Grade 9s, three Grade 8s, and two Grade 7s;
  • Gemma Giles who achieved three Grade 9s, two Grade 8s, two Grade 7s and a Grade 6;
  • Hope West who achieved three Grade 9s, two Grade 8s, two Grade 7s and a Grade 6;
  • Jacob Stockall who achieved three Grade 9s, two Grade 8s, two Grade 7s and a Grade 6;
  • Ashley Green who achieved one Grade 9, five Grade 8s, and two Grade 7s.

Congratulating students, Ruth Robinson, Executive Principal of Nova Hreod Academy, said:

“These are fantastic results and are a marked improvement on those achieved last year. Well done to every student who has achieved the grades they deserve. They have worked incredibly hard all year and it is wonderful to be able to see them celebrate their achievements.

“These results would not have been possible without our hard-working and committed staff who always go the extra mile for our students. They work tirelessly and I would like to thank them for everything they do for Nova Hreod Academy.”
