Salford City Academy's Sixth Form students are celebrating a 100% pass rate for the seventh successive year.
This summer, 100% of entries in BTECs achieved A*-C grades, with an impressive 86.6% achieving A* and A grades. All of the academy’s Year 13 students have also secured places either in higher education or employment/training.
Jon Davies, the academy’s Head of Sixth Form, said:
“I’m extremely proud of our students and the pathways that they have chosen, be it university or employment routes. Their drive and success reflects just what Salford City Academy and its students are capable of.”
Leading the way at the academy is Dan Cooper from Eccles, who has gained four distinction* grades in BTEC Sport, Forensic Science, Art and Design and Business Studies. Now the 18 year old is set to make great strides in his goal to become a podiatrist, studying for a BSc in Podiatry at Salford University, where he will have the opportunity to undertake training at the university’s own podiatry clinic and learn about possible career options.
“I’m really pleased with my grades, which are much better than my targets! With the support of the staff, I’ve come a long way since first starting at Salford City Academy.”
