The academy has secured a 100% pass rate, with a third of all A Levels received graded A* to B, helping almost all students secure places at universities across the country.

Furthermore, 100% of all BTEC outcomes were Distinction star (D*), the top grade possible. Two students, Iyaz Butt and Kamran Hussain, are thrilled to have gained triple Distinction stars and are set to study at Kings College London and University of Kent this Autumn.

The academy’s Year 12 students were also celebrating an amazing set of AS Level results with nearly half (44%) of all entries graded A* to B and 28% either A* or A grades. This is the best set of AS results the school has seen to date.

Emma Skae, Principal of Walthamstow Academy, said:

“I am proud of the students at Walthamstow Academy for achieving great results today. Our 100% A Level pass rate and our 100% BTEC success with Distinction stars for all our BTEC students means that they all have the opportunity to achieve even greater success as they move on to the next part of their lives.

“I would also like to thank our staff, who go above and beyond in order to help our students make their dreams a reality.”
